Job Description
The People Analytics Analyst plays a critical role in advancing our organization’s data‑driven HR strategy. Reporting to the Senior Manager of People Analytics & HRIS, this role is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end analytics solutions that empower leaders with actionable insights. The successful candidate will independently manage the full lifecycle of reporting and analytics — from gathering business requirements to designing, building, validating, and delivering high‑quality dashboards and analysis.
This role requires strong technical expertise in SAP SuccessFactors Story Reports and Power BI, combined with the ability to translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights for HR and business stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Job Responsibilities
Analytics & Reporting Development
- Design, build, and maintain advanced reports and dashboards using SAP SuccessFactors Story Reports and Power BI.
- Develop scalable reporting solutions that support recurring business needs and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all analytics products.
- Automate and streamline reporting processes wherever possible.
Business Partnership & Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with HR and cross‑functional stakeholders to understand business questions, data needs, and reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and analytics solutions.
- Provide consultative guidance on metrics, data definitions, and best practices in people analytics.
Insight Generation & Storytelling
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop reports and analytical insights that support operational workforce planning across the life of mine, enabling leaders to anticipate staffing needs, plan for critical roles, and align workforce capacity with operational milestones.
- Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives tailored to different audiences.
- Present insights to HR leaders, managers, and executives across the organization.
- Support data‑driven decision‑making by providing actionable recommendations.
- Generate insights across all major HR domains—including recruitment, onboarding, performance, learning, talent management, engagement, DEIB, compensation, and retention—to ensure a holistic view of workforce dynamics and employee experience.
Data Governance & Quality
- Uphold data governance standards and ensure compliance with privacy and security requirements.
- Partner with HRIS to troubleshoot data issues and enhance data quality.
- Maintain documentation for metrics, data sources, and reporting logic.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with SuccessFactors reporting capabilities, Power BI features, and people analytics best practices.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the analytics ecosystem, improve user experience, and increase adoption of data tools.
- Support the evolution of the People Analytics roadmap.
Education and Experience
Required
- 3+ years of experience in People Analytics, HR Reporting, HRIS, or a related analytics role.
- Hands‑on experience building SAP SuccessFactors Story Reports.
- Strong proficiency with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage analytics projects from requirements to delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working with HR data, metrics, and workforce analytics concepts.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and respect for data confidentiality.
Preferred
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central data structures.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other analytical tools.
- Experience supporting senior leaders or executive‑level reporting.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.

Compensation & Total Rewards
The base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000 CAD plus a target bonus of 15% and group benefit coverage.
The hiring range reflects our targeted compensation framework for the role. The actual offer will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate’s experience, capabilities, and potential impact, along with consideration of internal equity, team structure, and benchmark market data for similar positions.
