Job Summary
The role is accountable for working with and supporting the Manager, Learning and Development with the implementation of learning programs and related initiatives. The role will also support the Performance Management process working closely with the sites and corporate HR teams.
Key Responsibilities
Learning and Development
- Works with the Manager, Learning and Development to implement the learning and development programs and initiatives.
- Manages the learning calendar in alignment with development needs and business priorities.
- Coordinate training delivery logistics, including vendor management, assessments administration, pre-work, materials, and communications.
- Maintain learning assessments, tools and resources (e.g., IDP templates, program materials) and support IDP rollout and tracking.
- Track participation, completion, and key program metrics.
- Gather and analyze evaluation data; provide reporting and insights to support continuous improvement.

- Support the adoption of new learning tools, technologies, and process improvements as required.
Culture and Engagement
- Works with the Manager, Learning and Development to implement the organization’s strategy for culture and engagement and promote our Kinross Values
- Actively monitors industry trends and internal opportunities to drive the evolution of Kinross culture and employee engagement ensuring that the engagement and retention of people continue to be industry leading.
- Supports the nomination process and partners on logistics for the annual recognition program globally.
- Develops employee engagement initiatives and works with the business on action plans to enhance engagement.
- Researches and prepares presentations on current DEI areas of interest.
- Drafts and maintains the DEI events calendar, including executing against key deliverables related to those events and partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner on the design and implementation of programs that strengthen employee experience across key moments (onboarding, development, recognition, retention).
- Complete and submit external Surveys and benchmarks to include Canada’s Top 100 Employers application.
Performance Management
- Support the design and execution of the annual performance management process.
- Continuously evaluate programs and processes, driving enhancements based on employee feedback and business needs.
- HR Partnership & Program Delivery
- Partner with HR Business Partners to deliver integrated talent solutions.
- Ensure alignment of development and engagement initiatives with broader HR strategy and business priorities.
- Support communication and change efforts related to talent programs and initiatives.
- General administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Labour/Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Finance, or another related area of expertise
- CHRP or CCP certification preferred
- 3 – 5 years of related work experience or equivalent
- Previous experience in the mining industry is preferred
- Experience partnering with HR / business management on HR related matters
- Strong client service approach
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Working collaboratively
- Good project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Sense of urgency and ability to deliver accurately to tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Approaches work with agility and willingness to learn
Compensation and Total Rewards
The base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 CAD plus a target Short-Term Incentive bonus of 15% and group benefit coverage. The hiring range reflects our targeted compensation framework for the role.
The actual offer will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate’s experience, capabilities, and potential impact, along with consideration of internal equity, team structure, and benchmark market data for similar positions. In addition to base salary, Kinross offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support employee well-being, performance, and long-term development.
