What You Will Do

Troubleshooting Windows Operating system & Microsoft Office Suite and providing desk side support to corporate IT users, in addition to troubleshooting hardware such as printers, cell phones, laptops, tablets, and IP phones. Imaging laptop computer hardware with base OS (Windows 7) and business critical applications, plus provisioning desktop and mobile voice communication devices for Kinross end users worldwide. Provide support for software and services such as video & audio conferencing, JD Edwards financials, mobile device management, anti-virus management, and spam filtering.

Must Haves

  1. 2nd or 3rd year student in Computer Science or Engineering
  2. Lodgings in Toronto for the duration of the placement
  3. The successful candidate will be interacting with all levels of management and as such, a high degree of professionalism is required. 
  4. Strong time management skills; the ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines
  5. Very people friendly and open-minded

 

Nice to Haves

  1. Language skills in French, Arabic, Portuguese, or Spanish
  2. Experience working with culturally diverse teams
  3. Active extracurriculars
  4. CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation will be considered a great asset.
  5. The ideal candidate will have experience providing client-side support and performing troubleshooting for Microsoft tools.
