What You Will Do

As part of the Global Talent Acquisition team you will have the unique opportunity of working with all the departments across corporate generally and in Human Resources specifically, as you help in the recruitment process from beginning to end. Additionally, as part of our innovation plans you will have the opportunity to propose improvements in terms of tools and resources ranging from social media, HR information systems, templates, interview strategies and so much more.  

The Opportunity

A placement at Kinross Gold Corporation is a unique opportunity to be exposed to different disciplines within the company and also gain site experience or preparation for a role at site. The teams you will be working with are engaged and high-performing and include approachable people from all walks of life. They are very hands-on and take mentorship seriously, so you will receive a lot of support, guidance, and training to gain the skills you need to get the job done. By the end of your internship, you will have developed tangible Human Resources skills that will help you get the most out of your final year(s) of university and set a meaningful foundation for your career post-graduation.

Must Haves

  1. 3rd year student in Human Resources or Business
  2. Lodgings in Toronto for the duration of the placement
  3. Experience working with social media platforms
  4. Strong time management skills; the ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills, can do attitude with a demonstrated ability to perform well independently as well as on a team

Nice to Haves

  1. Language skills in French, Arabic, Portuguese, or Spanish
  2. Experience working with culturally diverse teams
  3. Active extracurriculars
  4. Strong research skills
  5. Experience working with Microsoft Office suite

Our Approach to COVID-19
