Purpose of Role


Kinross is looking for a university student to assist the Corporate Communications department during the summer of 2024.

The role will provide the candidate an opportunity to gain an introductory experience to the mining industry, a publicly listed international company and exposure to the day-to-day functions of the Corporate Communications department.


Job Responsibilities



Assist Corporate Communications department with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Administrative work
  • Updating internal communications website and intranet
  • Website maintenance
  • Social media communications
  • Branding


Minimum Requirements


  • Enrolled in a diploma/degree, or related discipline
  • Excellent grasp of communications principles and practices; strong writing skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to perform well in a team environment
  • Strong knowledge of social media communications; CMS experience an asset
  • Strong Word and PowerPoint abilities; Photoshop experience an asset
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish, Portuguese and/or French considered an asset
  • Experience working and/or knowledge of the resource industry (mining, oil/gas or power in particular) is considered an asset
