About the Role

Kinross’s Digital Workplace & Business Solutions Team is seeking an enthusiastic intern to join our team. This role is designed for a motivated student or recent graduate who is passionate about digital technologies and eager to help drive adoption of workplace productivity tools across the organization. The primary purpose of this role is to promote effective use of Kinross’s suite of digital workplace tools—including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration platforms—to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support digital transformation. 

As part of this role, the intern will also assist with several initiatives focused on collecting, formalizing, and cataloguing enterprise knowledge—such as application inventory information and functional descriptions of Kinross’s operating and corporate functional areas—to support improved governance, discoverability, and long-term digital maturity. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the rollout and adoption of Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related applications.
  • Assist in creating user guides, training materials, and communication campaigns to encourage tool adoption and improve digital self-sufficiency.
  • Provide first-line support for employee questions on digital workplace tools and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Conduct research on best practices for digital collaboration, automation, and modern digital workplace capabilities, and propose improvements for Kinross’s digital workplace.
  • Help track tool usage and adoption metrics, providing insights and recommendations to the team.
  • Assist with initiatives focused on collecting, formalizing, and cataloguing enterprise knowledge, including application inventory information, functional capability descriptions, and supporting documentation to improve discoverability and governance.
  • Participate in special projects focused on innovation, automation, AI enablement, and business solutions.
  • Support the design, documentation, testing, and adoption of business solutions built using IT-endorsed platforms such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Copilot.
  • Contribute to digital workplace and business solution initiatives, which may include:
    • Copilot Agent Publishing & Lifecycle Management – Supporting documentation, testing, intake processes, and adoption activities for publishing and governing Copilot agents at enterprise scale.
    • Microsoft Copilot Employee Self-Service Agent – Assisting with configuration support, testing, knowledge organization, and change adoption for a Copilot-powered IT and HR self-service experience.
    • High-Impact Copilot Agents – Contributing to the design, testing, and documentation of enterprise Copilot agents focused on real business use cases.
    • Power Platform Governance & DevOps Enablement – Supporting documentation, standards, and learning materials that enable governed solution development by IT and citizen developers.
    • Targeted Business Solutions & Automations – Assisting with the delivery of low-code apps, workflows, and automations that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support operational processes across the organization. 

Education and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Business, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in digital workplace technologies, collaboration platforms, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive).
  • Has completed one or more relevant training paths on the Microsoft Learn platform.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple, user-friendly terms.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
  • A proactive problem solver with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. 

Compensation & Total Rewards

The base salary range for this role is $44,226 to $60,060 CAD, plus 4% vacation pay.

The hiring range reflects our targeted compensation framework for the role. The actual offer will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate’s experience, capabilities, and potential impact, along with consideration of internal equity, team structure, and benchmark market data for similar positions.
