Job Description
Participates in the development of investor relations strategies and policies, and leads the implementation of investor relations programs and projects. Provides recommendations on current and emerging practices and technologies and implements accordingly, in order to gain competitive advantage. Directs investor communications and plans investor events.
Job Responsibilities
Establishes direction for and leads major investor relations projects
- Provides extensive oversight for, and participates in investor meetings, conferences, road shows, quarterly financial reporting, investor days, mine tours and other special events, with the CEO, CFO, EVP Investor Relations & Communications and other members of the Senior Leadership Team
Builds and maintains relationships with the investment community
- Responsible for developing alternative methods for building relationships with the investment community, with particular focus on institutional investors; drafts project plans, determines barriers to success, and presents ideas to CFO, CEO, EVP Investor Relations & Communications, and Senior Leadership Team.
- Builds and maintains relationships with buy-side and sell-side analysts
- Represents and positions the Company (independently and with the CEO, CFO, EVP Investor Relations & Communications and other members of the Senior Leadership Team) with institutional investors, retail investors and the equity analyst community. Responds to enquiries.
- Regularly converses with equity analysts / salespeople / traders and representatives from institutional investors, to determine expectations, gauge the company’s status in the investment community and build positive relationships
- Creates and delivers PowerPoint presentations for institutional investors and equity analysts
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and considers the business impact of decisions on diverse groups; influences others to achieve project goals. Proactively monitors institutional investors’ expectations, and develops strategies that work best to meet those expectations
Directs the development of investor relations communications
- Leads the preparation and development of presentations, scripts, fact sheets, and websites; directs efforts to maintain accuracy and completeness
- Reviews and assists with the drafting of the Company’s annual report, quarterly reports, news releases, financial statements, and Management Discussion and Analysis
Plans and manages conference calls and presentations for the Senior Leadership Team
- Includes: quarterly results conference calls, technical and financial presentations, and (in collaboration with the head of Corporate Communications) the Annual General Meeting
- Manages and oversees logistical support and the development and execution of presentations and documents required for the company’s annual general meeting
Drafts or approves scripts, speeches, questions and answers for the CEO, CFO, EVP Investor Relations & Communications and other members of the Senior Leadership Team; assists in their delivery to various investor audiences
- Supervises the collection of technical, financial, and other information; ensures that all data is accurate, and presented and communicated appropriately
Recommends investor relations service providers and directs their work
- Includes Directs Investor Relations consultants, graphic designers, and communications technology providers and other vendors
Job Responsibilities
Assesses and appraises investor relations strategy, opportunities and challenges on an ongoing basis (E.g. Disclosure and collateral vis-à-vis competitors, capital markets data provider, analyst expectations)
- Monitors analyst expectations and investor perceptions; advises senior leaders on any potential emerging issues
- Prepares business cases and reports regarding projects and initiatives and presents recommendations and status updates to key stakeholders
- Influences and advises senior leaders on investor relations and communications change efforts designed to improve positioning
Attends investor conferences and marketing roadshows
- Travels to investor conferences and marketing roadshows to support the senior management team or independently represent the Company as required
Assists or leads the preparation and presentation of Investor relations reports to the SLT and Board of Directors
- Provides market updates on the trading of gold, gold equities and the Company’s shares to the SLT / Board as required
- Preparation and presentation of investor relations updates
Education and Experience
Education
- University degree, ideally in Finance, Business, Engineering or Geology
- MBA/CFA/MSc/MEng/Accounting designation would be an asset
Experience
- 7-10 years of work experience in investor relations, investment banking, equity research, investment management, capital markets or related experiences
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Experience in developing financial models and analyzing key implications
- Experience in developing senior executive / board-level presentations, written reports
- Two to three years of leadership experience
- Proven track record representing organizations externally with key stakeholders
- Mining industry experience is an asset

Compensation & Total Rewards
The base salary range for this role is $200K+ CAD plus a target bonus of 30% + Long Term Incentive bonus and group benefit coverage.
The hiring range reflects our targeted compensation framework for the role. The actual offer will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate’s experience, capabilities, and potential impact, along with consideration of internal equity, team structure, and benchmark market data for similar positions.
