Junior Control System Engineer

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Control System Engineer, this position is responsible to maintain the process plant control system, Assist the E&I Technicians in faultfinding issues common to the Processing Plant, Dump Leach facility, ADR and Tailings Management facility. To follow established policies, practices, and procedures when completing work assignments. 

Job Responsibilities

Including but not limited to: 

•    Comply with all TML SA Occupational Health and Safety requirements as well as Mauritanian regulatory measure in force;
•    Perform assigned tasks using sophisticated analytical equipment and programs.
•    Perform assigned tasks following written instructions and complexed drawings;
•    Perform assigned tasks to specified calibrations and programming parameters;
•    Develop and implement control code and graphics for the control system.
•    Maintain and develop reporting tools such as Pi; 
•    Maintain a safe and neat work area and report defects, incidents and unsafe conditions;
•    Develop and produce SWP’s related to the control system and instrumentation;
•    Work with Maintenance Management System to approve work orders, find, select and requisition materials
•    Control system to fault finding.
•    Utilizing Auto CAD to develop and maintain site electrical, control and instrument drawings; 
•    Attend weekly staff safety meetings, organise, and facilitate daily crew pre-start safety meetings.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills requirements

• •    University degree or diploma in Automation, Industrial Electrical engineering ,or related field
  •    3-5 years’ experience
  •    Abillity to understand and maintaing the site control system including changes and implementation.
  •    Proficient in Auto CAD
  •    Ability to create technical reports from utilizing diagnostic skills
  •    Calibration of instrumentation

Desirable Skill, Knowledge, Training, and Experience:
•    Gyro Crusher E&I Experience;
•    Siemens & ABB PLCs Experience;
•    Experience with Schneider InTouch and Wonderware ArchestrA
•    Experience with ABB GMD control system
•    Experience with Maintenance management Systems (JDE)
•    Advanced written and spoken English language competency
