Job Description
Under the general supervision of the General Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent performs maintenance on a variety of machinery and structures throughout company owned housing.
Job Responsibilities
• Able to operate lawn mowers and weed eaters.
• Lifting and loading weights up to 50 lbs.
• Practice safety at all times.
• Operate power paint sprayer.
• Responsible to manage the RMGC Environmental Health and Safety Management system in his/her areas of responsibility.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on structures.
• Inspect housing to identify necessary repairs or maintenance. Assist in the construction of improvements to existing buildings.
• Carry out repairs, upgrades, or replacements of appliances and infrastructure as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring they are safe and operational.
• Maintain clean and safe working conditions, following all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance members to meet project deadlines.
• Perform tasks like painting, drywall repair, plumbing, flooring replacement, roof maintenance, and more.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about the progress and completion of tasks.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly.
• Monitor stock levels of materials and supplies required for ongoing projects
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
• Ability to perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting preferred
• Ability to repair sprinkler systems.
• Demonstrate willingness to help with any job.
• Comprehend and carry out written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge in mechanical inspections.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping practices.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical work environment, requiring the ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift materials regularly.
• Must be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Requires valid driver’s license.
