Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Mobile Maintenance General Supervisor Panning and Reliability the incumbent will follow the Kinross Way for Maintenance to increase overall efficiencies of mobile maintenance and site equipment. The Maintenance Dispatcher is part of the Planning and reliability team, and is responsible for equipment status communications, the daily maintenance effectiveness, tracking and trending the equipment health and general oversight of the Maintenance Health Care System, while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values.
This position is based out of Round Mountian, NV and the schedul is Monday - Thursday, 4 X 10 hour shifts.
Job Responsibilities
• Follow the Maintenance Point of Contact Procedures.
• Works with crews on specific tasks in order to meet daily mine maintenance goals within the Kinross Way for Maintenance.
• Coordinate with Mine Operations Personnel on repairs and maintenance to be completed.
• Monitor and review all maintenance down events, ensuring accurate and detailed descriptions are recorded for each event.
• Make work orders for all unscheduled work and notify supervisor or planners for that fleet of the requests.
• Maintains the MineStar system and reports to the proper supervisor or lead-person about equipment needing attention.
• Reports on trends to the proper fleet owner for review.
• Must be able to recognize potential mechanical problems.
• Maintain records from completed work and file as needed.
• Help develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above, and help train technicians with lesser experience or Tech Level as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
• Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.

• Punctuality and regular attendance required.
• Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Experience
• Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Should have strong mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of all machinery in their field.
• Must be able to solve problems effectively in a variety of areas, including mechanical issues.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of a Maintenance Health Care System preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the maintenance of mining equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of the JDE system, Microsoft programs, and Cat SIS preferred.
• Strong service writing skills required.
• Must be proficient in identifying continuous improvement opportunities in the maintenance activities to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
• Willing to develop skills in other areas of responsibility within the mobile maintenance department.
• General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling.
• Working knowledge and skill with P.C. utilizing work processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
• Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team.
• Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
• Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets.
• Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
• Requires valid driver’s license.
Reporting Relationships
Works under the direct supervision of the Mobile maintenace General Superviser of Palnning anf Reliability.
