Job Summary

The Warehouse Technician supports safe, efficient, and accurate movement of materials within the site warehouse and relevant properties. The role is responsible for warehouse counter service, shipping and receiving, material handling, inventory control, and general warehouse upkeep under the direction of the Supply Chain Superintendent. The Warehouse Technician is expected to perform all duties in alignment with Kinross values and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase documents and promptly stock inventory in the correct locations.
  • Perform inventory rotation, cycle counts, and other inventory control activities as directed.
  • Maintain clear and organized receiving, staging, and outside laydown areas.
  • Assist with the preparation, packaging, and documentation of outbound shipments.
  • Use the JD Edwards ERP system to enter, track, and reconcile inventory transactions, work orders, and material movements.
  • Assist in the surveillance of the warehouse and external storage areas to support loss prevention efforts.
  • Follow established warehouse, security, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
  • Keep work areas clean, orderly, and free of debris, including outside storage and laydown areas.
  • Participate in cross‑training to support broader Supply Chain and warehouse operations.
  • Meet or exceed established performance expectations and exercise sound judgment in prioritizing work and resolving issues.
  • Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse work.
  • Ability to follow established warehouse and safety procedures and carry out assigned duties with minimal supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees and management at all levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective member of a team.
  • Working knowledge of intermediate computer functions, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using the JD Edwards ERP system in a warehouse or inventory environment preferred.
  • DOT Hazmat training preferred.
  • Forklift experience and/or certification preferred.
  • General understanding of mining, milling, and maintenance operations preferred.
  • Strong analytical and persuasive skills and demonstrated technical writing ability.

Compensation Data

Hourly rate: $26.00 - $36.00 / hr
