Job Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Human Resources Generalist, this position is responsible for all recruiting functions for the (Kinross) Curlew Basin Project. The recruiter will be supporting the project fully onsite with an estimated length of 1 1/2 years. The incumbent will be helping to build a strong, local workforce that aligns with the organization’s strategic plans, and vision.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for completing the full life cycle of the recruiting and onboarding process for all internal employees.
- Manage the job description database to include creating new job descriptions as needed, updating aged descriptions and vetting through hiring managers.
- Update and maintain the internal applicant tracking system.
- Establish, evaluate and utilize various sourcing strategies to develop an appropriate pipeline of candidates for all current and future requisitions.
- Manage all job postings and external advertising.
- Coordinate virtual and in-person interviews.
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience through timely communication, professionalism, and support throughout the hiring process.
- Generate offer letters, relocation packages, and initiate onboarding process.
- Oversee and schedule pre-employment activities to include background checks, physicals, and drug/alcohol screening.
- Responsible for immigration cases for current and new employees.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding hiring practices.
- Meet performance metrics set by HR management.
- Establish a partnership with department heads and the workforce to better understand the skillset and culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 -5 years of recruitment experience, preferably in mining, construction, energy, or other industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of the Fair Hiring Practices, EEO, and WA Labor of Industries requirements. (interview selection, unconscious bias, diversity).
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work well with limited supervision.
- Can identify issues or concerns and provide effective resolutions.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of the workforce.
- Strong computer skills; Microsoft applications (ex. Power Point, Excel, Word), SAP, Talent Management, or other HRIS products.
- Valid Drivers License required.

Compensation Data
Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
