Job Summary
Under the direction of the General Manager, the incumbent will oversee the processing department at the Kettle River operations. The Processing Manager provides strategic and technical direction, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and leads cross-functional teams to optimize performance and recovery.
Essential Functions
- Provide leadership and direction for the mill, metallurgical, and tailings operations to achieve production targets and quality standards.
- Provide for safe working conditions. Ensures training at all levels is being conducted.
- Develop and implement operational plans, budgets, and performance metrics in alignment with the overall site strategy.
- Oversee production, process optimization, troubleshooting activities, and responsible for applying industry standards for metallurgical accounting.
- Direct the activities of the assay lab through the Assay Supervisor and Chief Metallurgist to accomplish the goal of timely and accurate completion of assays and other required testing within budgeted costs.
- Manage tailings facilities and systems in compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in processing performance, recovery rates, reagent usage, and water/energy efficiency.
- Champion a culture of safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and corporate policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering preferred. Related fields or experience accepted.
- 15+ years of specific process/milling experience.
- 10 years of experience in a supervisory role with proven team building skills.
- Strong knowledge and experience of all phases of gold processing.
- Proficiency in use of computer systems including, but not limited to, JDE and Microsoft Office programs.
- Possesses strong leadership capabilities and the ability to foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment.
- Exhibits a high level of integrity and ethical behavior in all professional interactions.
- Ability to recognize and resolve conflicts.
- Superior communication and reporting skills
- Enthusiastic, self-driven and dynamic, proactive attitude.
- Requires valid driver’s license.

Salary Range: $170,000 - $185,000
