Kinross’ comprehensive exploration and development program will aim to support the vision of a quality, high-grade, open-pit mine and a longer-term, sizeable underground mine.

Job Summary

As a Senior Mine Engineer for the Great Bear Advanced Exploration Project (AEX), you will be responsible for leading and executing a full range of engineering functions to support underground mine development and exploration. You will be accountable for planning, scheduling, and engineering design work that drives safe and efficient underground development.

During the planning phase, the primary focus will be to work with the site team and the selected underground mining contractor to finalize detailed engineering and prepare for underground mobilization. During the execution of the AEX underground, this role will help support the underground mine design, mining contractor management, and underground operations.

The Senior Mine Engineer will also work closely with Great Bear Mine Technical Services Manager and Kinross Technical Services (KTS) to ensure the AEX design and schedule aligns with the broader Main Project Production plan, open pit and underground mine schedule integration, and support detailed design, resource definition, and long-term strategy development.
