Job Summary

Deliver high quality human resources services by providing services to all employees to assure fair and equitable treatment in the administration of all Human Resources programs and processes, including benefit administration, recruiting, training, and employee relations, while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values.  Promotes Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Activities. Deliver high quality service of full cycle recruitment practices. 

Essential Functions

1.    Support employees by ensuring equitable experiences, strengthening inclusion acumen, and promoting a culture of inclusivity and belonging that embraces the contributions of all team members. 
2.    Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and compile reports from database. 
3.    Maintain the recruitment database, creating job requisitions, posting positions, prescreening applications, scheduling interviews. 
4.    Coordinate external recruitment efforts, to include attending job fairs, creating external flyers, building professional relationships. 
5.    Conduct orientation and onboarding of new hires.
6.    Preparation and implementation of organization training and materials.
7.    Assist in recruitment efforts to ensure that the hiring process models inclusive behaviors and best practices regarding inclusivity of all applicants and employees.
8.    Coordinate travel arrangements for interviews and initiate relocation as needed.
9.    Provide back-up support in the administration of benefits and assure full communication with the department and employees.
10.    Provide backup support in the administration of leave of absence programs including FMLA, military, and personal.
11.    Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations for continuous improvement. 
12.    Respond to employee relation issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations. May conduct investigations in support of this area.
13.    Complete internal audits of the HRIS on a routine basis.
14.    Apply fair and consistent practices across all levels of the site with regards to guidebook policies, practices and standards.
15.    Represent the company for any unemployment claims.
16.    Maintain accurate records and files.
17.    Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management.
18.    Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in job performance.
19.    Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
20.    Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, confidentiality and environmental policies.
21.    Work without significant risk of harm to self and others.
22.    Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

1.    High school diploma or equivalent required. 
2.    Minimum of three to five years in the Human Resources field preferred.
3.    College degree or courses with HR related focus preferred.
4.    Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
5.    Solid understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations preferred.
6.    The incumbent must have a demonstrated ability to establish priorities and maintain deadlines under multiple time pressures.
7.    Must possess the ability to work accurately and efficiently with a minimum amount of direct supervision.
8.    Accuracy is essential in the handling of all HR tasks and processes.
9.    Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills. 
10.    Personal leadership skills required.
11.    Strong working knowledge and skill with computers utilizing Microsoft Office.
12.    Uncompromising commitment to service and confidentiality.
13.    Possession of a valid driver’s license.
14.    Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets.
