Bald Mountain is an open-pit mine with a large estimated mineral resource base located in Nevada. It is the newest mine in Kinross’ portfolio and was acquired in January 2016.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Environmental Manager. The incumbent is responsible for providing support to the Environmental department in the areas assigned within his/her scope of responsibility while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ value.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the Environmental Department’s filing systems (electronic and hard copies)
  • Responsible for routine typing, data entry, and document formatting
  • Create and maintain various Environmental spreadsheets / reports
  • Manage and order office supplies and department materials
  • Distribute and track internal and external environmental communications
  • Assist with managing expense reports, budgets and monthly accruals
  • Package and mail documents
  • Manage travel and hotel arrangements for the department  
  • Coordinate meeting preparations including computer and projector setup, food deliveries, etc.
  • Generate requisitions and purchase orders within KG-BM’s accounting system, as well as run cost reports as needed
  • Track and assist in managing the Environmental Department’s contracts with outside contractors and consultants
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • 2-3 years of clerical office experience, required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office Suite, office equipment and machines (i.e. phone, copier, computer, Word, Excel) required.
  • Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, required.

  • Must be a self-motivated with the ability to work with others in a team environment, required
  • Associates degree or certificate, preferred.
  • Experience with JDE or Oracle accounting software, preferred.
