Job Description

Kinross’ corporate office internship program, Gold Rush, is looking for an eager to learn intern student within the IT Enterprise Applications & PMO Team. This team is responsible for Kinross Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, primarily Oracle JD Edwards. This involves providing level II and level III support as well as working on special projects. In addition, the team is responsible for managing all IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Application projects. This position will be working within this team supporting JD Edwards applications for Finance, Supply Chain, Maintenance and Human Resources. As well, they will assist Project Managers in the team for project coordination.

This opportunity will enable you to:

  • Acquire some knowledge of ERP systems
  • Gain knowledge of business processes and the enabling ERP applications
  • Understand project coordination and management

Job Responsibilities

  • Requirements gathering for proposed system enhancements
  • User support and training for Enterprise Applications
  • Closing Oracle JD Edwards support issues
  • Custom report generation
  • Performing project activities such as data cleansing and migration, reporting, etc.
  • Project Coordination – including coordination of meetings
  • Documentation and authoring e-learning materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • 2nd or 3rd year university student in Computer Science, Engineering or Business
  • Experience supporting and training business applications users
  • Experience coordinating projects
  • Experience using collaborative tools such as MS Teams
