Job Description

Reporting to the DATA & LOGISTICS AMINSTARTION SUPERVISOR, the successful candidate will provide necessary administrative assistance for the proper functioning of this department.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Perform administrative tasks related to the Logistics department
  2. Interact and support clerical functions with all members of the logistics department.
  3. Develop and update monitoring tools
  4. Develop and update tools to measure performance
  5. Develop required statistics and reports
  6. Maintain and update documentation for the department.
  7. Create operations reports in Excel.
  8. Review reports for missing information.
  9. Follow up with suppliers and internal departments Compile information for upload into systems.
  10. Responsible for system accuracy and following detailed instructions for daily shipping and customs data.
  11. Collection and maintenance of customs compliance data
  12. Review and audit of international documentation
  13. Audit commercial documents provided by shipping and suppliers. Audit freight invoices for accuracy.
  14. Preparation of Customs Taxes & Duties paperwork for approval and payment in a timely and efficient manner.
  15. Following up with 3rd Party Logistics Provider for reception of complete set of shipping documents for customs clearance purposes, and ensure its compliance with Mauritanian Customs regulations and exemption lists requirements.



Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics / supply chain or equivalent would be an asset
  • Excellent English OR French
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Very good level of writing
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of Business Law
