Round Mountain and the nearby Bald Mountain mine make up Kinross’ Nevada operations. 

The Round Mountain mine is an important contributor to the Nye County economy and, working with local stakeholders, has helped achieve significant improvements in healthcare and education in the area.

Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Fixed Maintenance General Foreman, the incumbent ensures that the mechanical maintenance and repair of fixed facilities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values.

Job Responsibilities


1.    Monitor all fixed maintenance in progress and all maintenance completed, implementing changes as deemed necessary.  
2.    Schedule work, assign personnel, review performance and make recommendations for promotion, transfer, discipline or dismissal.
3.    Work with the process operations groups and the process technical services group to plan, monitor, and execute maintenance work. 
4.    Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment  ( Crushers ,ADR plants, refinery’s, assist on Mill downs )  
5.    Maintain accurate and up to date records of work performed.
6.    Perform daily administrative duties/ inspection of, Work orders, time cards, reports, and supply requisitions.
7.    Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code of conduct. 
8.    Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
9.    Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
10.    Works without risk or harm to self and others. 
11.    Help develop department personnel to perform the duties listed above.
 

Education and Experience

1.    Must be able to prioritize effectively.
2.    Must be able to completed task in a safe and timely manner.
3.    Must have good communications skills with operations and Maintenance groups.
4.    Experience with JDE .
5.    At least 5 years’ experience in Maintenance.
6.    One year experience in a supervisory or lead role.
7.    Must be willing to work nights and weekends.

8.    General understanding crushing operations, and process plants operations.
 
9.    Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
10.    Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team. 
11.    Demonstrates strong administrative and organizational skills.
